Kamusta.
Iām Jess Mae.
I'm an educator, artist and web designer
I am passionate about creating with care, compassion and empathy. I believe in the power of stories as truths and connections. I thrive connecting the dots by simplifying complex processes and nurturing relationships through collaborative practices. Alongside community, I reimagine a world that is just and accessible utilizing anti-colonial and feminist practices.
I co-founded Filipinas of HamOnt, From Me To You Journal and Redefine Twenty.
I completed a Software Engineering Course and have a background in teaching secondary students. I am currently completing my Masters of Educational Leadership and Public Policy at OISE.

When reflecting on my self portrait, I think about my identity intertwined my mother and lola. My mother FaceTimes my lola every night to tell her good morning. Over 30 years, my mother has gone home at least four times and myself twice. The phone passed over to say hello and screenshots to capture moments. How connection and technology play a part in who I am and learning to be.
